Ms. Beg received her BA (Hons.) in Psychology, Education and Persian
from the Islamabad College for Girls and another BA (Hons.) in Graphic
Design from the London College of Printing. She is currently the
Managing Director of Serendip Productions. Clients of Serendip Productions
include UNICEF, UNFPA, DIFID, Save the Children, the National Rural
Support Programme (NRSP) and Pakistan Television (PTV).
Ms. Beg is a producer and director who has produced programs such
as "Imran Khan: The Untold Story," for the BBC and "The
Clean Gang" which won a British Medical Award. Ms. Beg has
produced the film "Harnessing People’s Potential"
which deals with poverty alleviation. In addition, she produced
the film "Extra Time" which deals with child labor. Previously,
Ms. Beg was a director and designer with Channel 7, an advertising
agency in Pakistan.

The winner of the Silver Award at the 1999 Sony Video Festival in
Tokyo, Sohni Dharti is a journey through time. From the earliest
beginnings of the Indus Valley civilisation to what is modern day
Pakistan, this documentary traces the history of the country through
the rise & fall of invading conquerors & the birth of new
religions & cultures, set against the backdrop of some of the
most breathtaking natural landscape in the world.
Taller than the Mountains (27 minutes)
Sounsored by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme for the International
Year of the Mountains in 2002, this documantary was viewed at the
International Conference on Mountain Women in Nepal in 2002. It
is a tribute to the thousands of women from the mountain regions
of Pakistan - their cultural diversity & the unique role they
play in their communities
Into Tomorrow (27 Minutes)
A short film that traces the history of the independence movement
in British India. Using rare archive footage of M.A. Jinnah - the
founder of Pakistan - & drawing on the memories of intellectuals,
including Professor Karrar Hussain & political activists such
as the feisty Princess Abida Sultan, the programme reflects on the
struggle that led to the birth of a new country.
