PROJECT NAME: LOW-COST AND QUAKE-PROOF HOUSING
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: Construction of a low-cost, seismic responsive, energy efficient, and eco-friendly housing in the earthquake effected areas.

PROJECT SUMMARY: SARID seeks to bridge the gap between “scholarship and policy-making,” by being an information resource and guide to deve-lopment strategies in South Asia. Its efforts focus on identifying emerging and indigenous technologies pertinent to this part of the world and promoting greater use of local resources for development in the region. SARID's low-cost, quake-proof, and environment-friendly housing construction process utilizes a proprietary technology [patent pending], MASS. Built in 4 weeks, cost is at least 30-40 per cent less then comparable known technologies.
