Dear Friends/ Supporters:

SARID is engaged in raising funds for the victims of the Tsunami in South and South-East Asia.

All our aid workers in Sri Lanka are locals, and are giving relief directly to the impacted areas or working through small local Sri Lankan organizations.

We have already sent funds, collected in the USA, to our local representative Vinod Moonesinghe (sarid@sltnet.lk), who is actively coordinating the relief effort. We have also funded Dr. Rumi Cader (rumi00@gmail.com), a Sri Lankan professor of medicine at UCLA, who is providing medicine and also organizing local relief. However, we need more money to buy provisions, clothing, food, and medicine.
